Lisa Osborne

She’s the queen of cardio who oozes energy around the clock. Meet Lisa Osborne, the creative genius behind BODYATTACK who maintains a constant smile as she balances her roles as athlete, choreographer and mother.

If there’s one person that embodies the energy and positivity of BODYATTACK™, it’s Lisa Osborne.

As the BODYATTACK Program Director and the BODYSTEP™ Creative Director, Lisa shapes the development of new workouts every three months. And, when she’s not selecting music and choreographing new moves, she’s traveling the world, educating and inspiring fellow fitness fans at Les Mills events all over the planet.

A former international aerobics champion, Lisa won five consecutive Australian championships and three international titles. Then she discovered BODYATTACK. “The aerobic movements, music and high energy got me hooked, and even though I was really fit it really challenged me!”

Twenty years on, the challenge is still something Lisa thrives on. She is constantly reinventing her own training and exploring new approaches to exercise. “It’s about staying ahead of the game, I don’t want to be the same person next year or the year after.” This curiosity led Lisa to give gymnastics and Crossfit a go. She ended up competing at the World Crossfit Games and says it was the skills and fitness she’s got from BODYATTACK that got her there.

Lisa shares her love for fitness with her husband Pita, who is a Les Mills instructor, and her two energetic young boys.

Check out some of our favorite facts about Lisa below …

Where do you get your energy from?

I always surround myself with great people in places that have energy. My energy very much comes from others. I love what I do and I love Les Mills. I look forward to each and every day! As I walk into the gym or the Les Mills office I switch into energy mode.

What’s your favorite workout routine?

BODYATTACK of course! But second to that I like gymnastics, as well as a variety of strength and cardio training that helps me function really well for BODYATTACK. I like to do short bursts of training rather than spending hours in the gym. I’m better for everybody after I’ve exercised! My brain works better and I’m in a better mood. Exercising just makes me feel so happy inside – and I get to be surrounded with like-minded people all of the time.

If you could choose one person to work out with, who would it be and why?

It would have to be two of my fellow Les Mills colleagues together – Les Mills Jnr and Ben Main. I think I could lift more weight than them, laugh and work hard at the same time.

If you could have one superpower, what would you choose?

Teleportation would be amazing. I could travel the world to all the Les Mills events, inspire more people faster – and then be back with my family for dinner, school pickups and snuggles.
