As part of our mission, we are working with veritree to plant millions of trees, helping to create opportunities for individuals and communities, and to restore critical landscapes, meaning a more sustainable, equitable, and thriving world. Every time a teammate, LES MILLS+ member, Instructor, or Club partner joins our mission, we will be planting trees on their behalf. We also measure our carbon emission footprint as a business, and where we can’t reduce or remove our impact, we plant more trees.
Veritree works globally to restore the environment through a range of different tree planting projects.
Due to their incredible ability to sequester carbon, we’re supporting mangrove planting projects in Kenya and Brazil.
These projects also do so much for the communities they’re in - creating jobs, reducing economic inequality, and restoring nature.
WHY MANGROVES
Mangrove restoration is the process of revitalizing and reestablishing mangrove ecosystems in areas where they have been degraded or lost. This effort involves planting and nurturing mangrove trees and other vegetation in coastal zones, with the aim of Erosion prevention, Biodiversity enhancement and Carbon reduction.
