We can’t wait for you to see what’s in store for this round of releases, and we’re excited to celebrate with our global launch event, Unstoppable, in October.

New Autoship schedule:

August 2, 2021: Midwest & West Coast
August 3, 2021: South Central
August 4, 2021: East Coast

Other important information

The last 18 months have been challenging for our instructor community, which is why we have allowed instructors to skip their quarterly releases at no penalty for over a year.

However, as clubs across the country continue to reopen and restrictions ease, we are reintroducing the requirement that instructors purchase at least one quarterly release per year in order to stay active.

Why did the autoship dates change?

For 2021 we are running a three-day Autoship schedule to ensure we can provide timely support for instructors who need assistance or have questions about their releases.

Upcoming Autoship dates are:

  • Q3 - August 2-4
  • Q4 - November 1-3

How do I affiliate with my facility?

Click on YOUR FACILITIES in the Instructor Portal and search for the facility you teach at to add yourself as an instructor. Once you request an affiliation, a notification will be sent to our contact at your club to accept or deny the affiliation.

My facility is still closed, can I stream the Q3 release?

You can stream the Q3 release through your facility if they have the proper livestream licensing in place. You may need to use covers depending on the licensing requirements for your country. Please note, this must be through your clubs closed platform and cannot be done on individual instructor pages.

I have not purchased a release in over a year, do I have to purchase this release?

If the last release you purchased was either the Q2/2019 or Q3/2019, you must purchase the Q3/2021 release in order to keep your certification active. As a reminder, if you are currently teaching or subbing you should have the latest release.

How does skipping past releases impact my certification?

If you skipped the Q2/2020, Q3/2020, Q4/2020, Q1/2021 and/or Q2/2021 releases, this will not impact your certification. However, going forward, you must purchase at least one release per year for your program certification to remain active. As a reminder, if you are currently teaching or subbing you should have the latest release.

If I skipped a previous release what do I need to do to receive Q3/2021?

There is no action required. As long as you are subscribed to autoship you will receive the Q3/2021 Instructor release.

Not sure if you're subscribed to autoship? Just log into the portal and click on YOUR CERTIFICATIONS. Then click VIEW CERTIFICATION DETAILS. You'll see a green checkmark next to SUBSCRIBED TO QUARTERLY RELEASES. If that's not there, just contact us and we can help get your resubscribed.

If I skipped a previous release, what do I need to do to skip Q3/2021?

We will not be offering the skip option for Q3/2021 releases or any Autoship release moving forward. If you are not teaching and need to put your certification on hold you can do so for 6 months.

In the Instructor Portal under Your Certifications simply click “Pause Certification.” Please note, you must pause each certification separately. If you need any help reach out to info.use@lesmills.com

How does skipping a past release impact my ability to go on hold in the future?

You will still be able to go on hold in the future if you are pregnant, injured or not actively teaching.

My facility furloughed me, can I still purchase the Q3 release with no active affiliation?

Yes, you may purchase this release whether or not you have an active affiliation. If you are looking for a new facility we know lots of clubs are currently looking for instructors, so make sure to update your profile and contact information under your account setting in the Instructor Portal to show you're available to teach.

Why is Les Mills reintroducing the requirement to purchase a release at this time?

As a reminder, if you are currently teaching or subbing you should have the latest release. The option to go on hold is for instructors who are unable to teach at that time. It’s important that instructors receive the newest release to ensure that they’re getting the latest education and research updates, as well as technique and coaching skills to provide the best possible experience for participants. In addition, each release incorporates new research and innovations to ensure participants get the results they want.

What happens if I do not buy a release?

Instructors who do not purchase at least one per year will no longer be certified to teach that program.

If you are actively teaching our subbing you must have the latest release, as outlined in the instructor agreement. It’s important that instructors receive the newest release to ensure that they’re getting the latest education and research updates, as well as technique and coaching skills to provide the best possible experience for participants. In addition, each release incorporates new research and innovations to ensure participants get the results they want.

My certification is no longer active. What are my options for returning to teaching as a Les Mills instructor?

We would love to help you return to teaching Les Mills programs! Instructors who have lapsed certifications have a few options to submit a new assessment video and/or re-attend initial training at a discounted rate.

Will Les Mills be offering any six-month extensions to instructors that are currently on pause?

No, we will not be providing any further extensions to instructors at this time.

I haven’t taught my Les Mills program in awhile. What resources are available to help me return to teaching?

How do I update my credit card for Autoship billing?

To update your payment info in the Instructor Portal, go to:

My Account > Account Settings > View/Edit Billing Info
