PHILLIP MILLS - CEO
Managing a rock and roll band trying to crack the United States market is an unlikely first job for a pioneer of international fitness. Our CEO Phillip Mills left the “unhealthy”, music industry in 1980. He had a vision to bring together the worlds of sport and performing arts. Starting with aerobics classes in his father’s Les Mills New Zealand gym, Phillip has taken the LES MILLS™ brand of exercise-to-music programs to the world.
Truly driven by the health of our planet and its people, Phillip and his wife Jackie co-wrote the book ‘Fighting Globesity’ which links the developed world’s obesity epidemic with the state of the planet. He’s also one of the founding trustees of Pure Advantage, a not-for-profit organization promoting a greener, wealthier future for New Zealanders.
