Reformer is redefined through a music-driven experience with Instructor innovations, designed to unlock the potential of Pilates for clubs.

LES MILLS REFORMER™ has been unveiled as the latest innovation from the global fitness leader, created to help clubs capitalize on the Reformer Pilates boom through an offering that broadens the category’s appeal.

Reformer Pilates has become one of the most in-demand training formats globally, yet adoption across gyms remains limited. LES MILLS REFORMER has been developed to change that, providing an inclusive, high-quality training experience that can be delivered consistently at scale across mainstream fitness facilities.

Suitable as a lead program for clubs expanding into the Reformer category, or as a complementary addition to existing offerings, LES MILLS REFORMER provides a turnkey solution backed by Les Mills’ science, expert coaching, and decades of group training expertise.

“Reformer Pilates has been growing for years across boutiques, and now there’s a huge opportunity for clubs to tap into consumer demand and take Reformer fully mainstream,” says Summer Bradley, co-creator of LES MILLS REFORMER.

“We’ve taken our time to truly assess the market and design something that expands access, without compromising on quality. The result is a product that helps clubs democratize Reformer Pilates and reach far more members with this wonderful style of training.”

Reformer meets rhythm

LES MILLS REFORMER is low-impact sculpt training that builds strength, improves posture, and helps members move better from their very first class.

It combines the precise movement of Pilates with the energy and motivation of music. This is a unique, music-driven program where every movement is synced to the beat, creating a seamless experience where members don’t just follow the rhythm, they feel it.

This fusion helps unlock the ‘Group Effect’, a highly-connected member experience that increases motivation, satisfaction, and member retention. The result is a differentiated program that stands apart from traditional freestyle Reformer classes and boutique studio offerings.

Instructor innovation

A key point of difference is the Instructor-led delivery model. In LES MILLS REFORMER, the Instructor performs the workout alongside participants on a Reformer bed, providing clear visual guidance that accelerates learning and improves technique.

All classes are pre-choreographed using Les Mills’ proven programming model, ensuring:

• Consistent, high-quality experiences across every session

• Seamless exercise transitions that prioritize safety and results

• Reduced preparation time for Instructors

• A streamlined pathway to building skilled Instructor teams

This approach enables clubs to scale their Reformer offering quickly and confidently, without the variability or complexity often associated with traditional Pilates delivery.

Democratizing Reformer Pilates

LES MILLS REFORMER is built around accessibility and progression. The program is choreographed to ensure safe, seamless transitions and a structured, full-body workout that delivers results for every level, from beginners to experienced participants.

This low barrier to entry enables clubs to extend the benefits of Pilates to a wider audience, while giving members the freedom to control intensity and build confidence from their very first class.

LES MILLS REFORMER has been extensively developed and tested in leading clubs across multiple global markets to ensure it delivers both member outcomes and business results.

A 2026 UK pilot found:

• 84% of participants were extremely likely to recommend LES MILLS REFORMER to their friends.

• 84% were extremely likely to continue doing LES MILLS REFORMER.

• 57% of new members said LES MILLS REFORMER was the only reason or a major part of their decision to join their club.

• 39% took up LES MILLS REFORMER as an addition to their regular gym activities.

Testing in the Les Mills New Zealand club estate also brought impressive results and found that after charging members an additional $5 fee for each class, there was a 21% increase in average class attendance, with members more inclined to commit to the class. This highlights LES MILLS REFORMER’s potential to generate ancillary revenue for clubs and support upgrades to premium membership tiers.
