Flexible Format
Choose a format that suits your lifestyle, with both in-person and live online options available. Across two full days, you’ll join a small group of trainees and be guided by a Les Mills Trainer through interactive coaching, practical teaching, and real-time feedback designed to set you up for success.
Essential Skills
Your training dives into everything you need to deliver safe, motivating, and effective classes. You’ll learn how each workout is structured, how to coach movement with precision and energy, and how to connect with your class using music, timing, and presence. It’s all about building your confidence while developing your unique coaching style.
Simple Certification
Around ten days before your course, you’ll receive everything you need to prepare—including your assigned track and supporting materials. After the training, you’ll complete your certification by submitting a video of yourself teaching. Once passed, you’ll be ready to lead classes in clubs around the world.

No, you don’t need to have a teaching opportunity lined up. However, teaming up with a local club it can make it easier to practice your teaching skills before certification. Les Mills Connect makes it easy to find teaching opportunities at gyms and fitness clubs near you.
Instructors Initial Training
It's time to practice your skills! We suggest spending as much time as possible shadow-teaching with other Instructors. This will help you when it comes to filming your assessment video for final certification.
More information on how to present a successful assessment video will be provided at your training.

Initial training for our Signature programs takes two days. It can be completed online from the comfort of your home, or you can train in-person at locations around the country. Training for our Innovation Collection is half a day and can also be completed online or in-person. Events run throughout the year, so you’ll have plenty of choice of when to attend.
